Persistence

Well, I think I have figured it out. The more you exercise, the more you are motivated to exercise more. I seem to be in a zone right now and I think I can stick with it. It's crazy, but I actually enjoy working out. Claudia has really helped me see the other side of things and how important "I" am. I do a lot of cardio now and I am starting a boot camp in mid april. This is how my week will now look come April:

Monday - training, then yoga
Tuesday - boot camp
Thursday - training, then softball
Sunday - softball
** Cardio everywhere in between that I can fit it in **

My clothes are fitting better and I have had to buy new jeans because none of mine fit and jeans are a staple!! However, I am sure the pair I just bought will be too big before long with how things are going. I did the Wild Rose Detox and it went really well. I haven't stepped on a scale in 2 months and I think that really helps...Claudia just lets me know if things are up or down and they have been down the last 6 weeks. YAY!! I am going to be the biggest loser and look great and feel great and be healthy. Remember the main goal...healthy and strong!

March 2009

It's been a while since the last post, so here's a big update! Costa Rica was fabulous and I had a lot of fun. Lots of suntanning, a few cute boys and major relaxation. I even ziplined for the first and probably last time in my life. We'll just check that one off the bucket list...

Since I've been back from holidays though, I have a whole new outlook on things. I am really unhappy with me being unhealthy and being heavy is the major part of that. So...I have given up alcohol for a few weeks to help my system speed and clean things up. It hasn't been difficult at all. I thought it would be harder and maybe it will be come baseball season, but I would like to be able to have one beer or one glass of wine and not binge all night and feel terrible the next day...not a hangover, just bloated and heavy again. I am also eating much more regimented meals. I have breakfast at 7am (porridge oats, flax seeds, oat bran mixed with applesauce and topped with yogurt on top), then cottage cheese and fruit at 9:30am, a good lunch with protien and veggies and maybe one carb, a snack in the afternoon which sometimes consists of an apple and 10 almonds, or 1/2 protien bar, or a protien shake, a good dinner with protien and veggies and maybe one carb again and then some protien with fruit in the evening if I need it. It seems like a lot of food and it is...but I am losing weight!!

Tomorrow I am going to start the Wild Rose Detox. I have done it before and it really feels good. It won't be too much different than what I am doing now but cutting out ALL of the dairy and breads and sugar. It is 12 days, I think I can manage it :)

Cardio is going well, I have more energy. I try to get in at least 2 days of cardio on top of my 2 days of workouts with Claudia. I am trying to increase this and as I get more energy I feel it is easier to increase. Need to keep on it, because I am only 36 and I want to live a long life and if I am not healthy, I won't make it!!

Remember that you come first, no matter what happens!
