Progress!

Well, today I weighed in and there was a 3.6lb weight loss! Yay, that means this is working, and let me tell you, it is hard work!

Claudia got a new elliptical and I like it less than the last one, but as she says, I am sure I will grow to like it. It burns...ah, but that's the point isn't it? I really like the Bosu, it has lots of uses and apparently works your whole core. Anyone who hasn't tried one of these should check it out. I did some wall sit ups with it and my upper abs felt it for days!

The eating is going better and I am spending more time at home in the evenings cooking and trying new things to help incorporate them with the old things and take some of the old things away!

Keeping on keeping on....next challenge, being away with friends next weekend and trying to eat healthy and avoid all the drinks!

Fibre

Well, I seem to have picked up the motivation, because I was feeling a little disgusted with myself last week. I really need to do this. I have had 4 sessions with Claudia and am getting started on the cardio at home as well. I did 10k at Elk Lake last Tuesday and both Friday and Sunday I did my cardio on the treadmill.

I stepped on my home scale and it looks lower...we'll see when I get weighed again on Thursday!

I bought a "Clean Eating" book from Claudia and have been trying out some recipes from the book and printed some off on-line also. The recipes are good and filling and I am finding it easy enough to do and enjoying the food. The only thing is, it is a LOT of fibre and I think the ground flax seed is wrecking havoc with my system. I am not sure what will make this better, but water seems to be the best answer for now. Need to flush it through rather than letting it sit in my intestines!

3 more training days and lots more cardio before my USA shopping trip with D, Oct 3rd weekend. Hopefully I will be down a few pounds so that when I try on clothes I won't feel like a blimp.

Carpe Diem...Live for today...for me that means get healthy so I can live longer and enjoy life!

Motivation

Well, I have had a couple of sessions now and I need more motivation...more than looking great in clothes and being healthy. I am not sure what it is, but if anyone has any ideas, please help me out here :) I bought a Clean Eating Magazine and there are some great hints and recipes in there and I am liking the cottage cheese and fruit for breakfast, I just need to find some easy snacks to carry with me that don't always have to be in the fridge.

Claudia said I would love the ball, and I do, it's my calves that don't love it. But they are going to love it! I just need to get the cardio on a roll. And I will. I think I need to get through this weekend and see my family and make sure nonno is ok with my own eyes. I am a little down because it has been about 8 weeks since I have seen my mom and dad and that is a long stretch.

I need my ass kicked, is what I need. D..can you help me out here? Monday's will be tough because I have training and then yoga, but the more I do the better. Today I am getting a cardio train in because I am not back with Claudia until Monday.

GOOOOO TEAM MARIA...you can do it...you've seen yourself in those pictures recently and other than your great smile, you are not happy with yourself. GET ON IT...see, I am even talking in 3rd person here...

I will make it happen. This is therapy for me.
